Omdat sommige mensen zich afvroegen of we dit jaar weer de intentie hebben de afleveringen te vertalen, bij dezen een nieuw topic en het antwoord: ja dat zijn we inderdaad weer van plan. ;D
Alvast bij voorbaat dank voor de inspanningen aan Tsubasa en G-root, en twee vrienden van me die niet op de site aanwezig zijn. Mochten er meer mensen zijn die af en toe een stukje voor rekening willen nemen, stuur me gerust een pm, dan neem ik het mee in de planning.
Wanneer e.e.a. online komt zal per week een beetje verschillen door drukte en andere beslommeringen, maar in principe streven we ernaar de aflevering aan het einde van het weekend of maandag af te hebben en hier online te zetten.
Veel plezier met de Mollenjacht ook voor onze internationale vrienden. ::ok::
Some people were wondering if we have the intention of translating and subtitling episodes again this year, so here's the new topic for it and the answer to that question: Yes indeed we plan to do so. ;D
I would like thank Tsubasa and G-root as well as two other friends not on this site for their efforts, in advance. Should more people like to help us translate every now and then, they can contact me via pm so I can plan ahead.
It will vary slightly when the episodes will be online depending on how busy everyone is per week, but we intend to be finished with them by the end of the weekend in most cases, hopefully.
I hope everyone will have fun with the Mole hunt, including our friends abroad. ::ok::

Helaas crashte mijn laptop toen ik net de puntjes op de i aan het zetten was zondagavond. :-\\

Yeah, I feel the same. We Dutch people may not be very prissy/prudish, this kind of words isn't unheard of on television but I've never heard such words in any American/British game shows nor in amusement shows.

Not that I feel I need to justify any of the choices made by respective translators...
I'm just answering this as an FYI.
I thought about this too and I felt offense might be taken to this word quite easily in other cultures.
Molefans from around the world are watching this series, and they're not exactly used to the Dutch 'directness'(i.e. in some cases perceived as bluntness or even rudeness) as we are, so I felt a neutral description would be best suited in this case and agreed with the translator offering it.
Translation isn't a 'scientific' study and some leniency should be granted especially concerning interpretation, cultural differences and idiomatic expressions.
This is the last I have to say about this. Any comments about 'shouldn't it be this or that' to me are moot as it serves no purpose.
A lot of subtitling is somewhat subjective and it's in the eye of the beholder how to interpret it. The same applies to things being translated to Dutch on tv.

Ik heb een vraag. Wie moet ik credit geven voor de vertalingen, als ik de youtubefilmpjes aanprijs op een Engelstalige website?
Heb het gepost op Game Maker Community (http://gmc.yoyogames.com/index.php?showtopic=567272) en ben zeer benieuwd of er reacties komen en zo ja wat voor.
(Als het de bedoeling is hier Engels te praten, laat het even weten, dan edit ik mijn bericht met een vertaling)

Seriously we're doing this as a team effort. I coordinate stuff and do my share but it's down to the team of people each week to make it happen. ::ok::

Je mag in de reacties geen spoilers plaatsen over vorige molseizoenen, maar nu zitten die spoilers al in de aflevering zelf. Maar goed, je kunt het er ook moeiljk uitknippen. :P

Ik ben er nog niet helemaal uit maar ik denk dat ik ze (inclusief het filmpje) apart ga aanbieden in een spoiler (als forum/blog dat mogelijk maakt) voor de mensen die dat graag willen. Tenslotte verstaan ze sws geen Nederlands (ja ok... ;D) en hebben wij het ook zo aangeleverd gekregen. :)
Ik probeer de informatie-influx zo objectief mogelijk te houden (al deel ik soms ook wel theoriëen en hints van dit forum bijvoorbeeld, puur omdat iedereen dan ongeveer de gelijke informatie heeft - ik deel echter soms ook de mijne maar zeg er ook bij dat ze alleen de mijne zijn ;)).
Ik wil ze vooral dezelfde ervaring geven als wij krijgen voor zover dit kan dan. Ik heb niet de tijd om alle extra's te ondertitelen en daarnaast kan dat niet vwb Moltalk omdat dat te veel spoilers zou bevatten. Dus het is soms idd een afweging van zoveel mogelijk delen aan de ene kant, en een gelijke ervaring geven als wij hier beleven maar niet spoileren aan de andere. Ik hoop daarin doorgaans de juiste balans te vinden, althans dat probeer ik wel. :)

Klopt. Ik heb al een opmerking geplaatst hier en daar omtrent het feit dat de nieuwe aflevering spoilers bevat over eerdere series. Ik wil graag de mensen de kans bieden dat níet te zien als ze verkiezen dat niet te doen. Ik zal aangeven waar in de video de opdracht start en eindigt en de opdracht kort samenvatten voor die mensen die het niet willen zien, zodat ze toch weten wat er speelt. :)
Verder heb ik aangegeven dat er mogelijk spoilers in voorkomen (als je zegt dat er sws spoilers in staan vestigen ze de aandacht er zeker op mijns inziens :P) omdat ik zeker weet dat veel mensen voorgaande series nog graag willen zien. Dus heb ik aangeraden niet te veel op dat scherm te letten omdat het voor de opdracht verder niet van belang is.
Verder weet ik ook niet goed wat ik kan doen om dat te voorkomen, suggesties zijn welkom. ::ok::

Deze uitdrukking bestaat gewoon ook in het Engels.
Ik zou het waarderen dat áls je inhoudelijk commentaar heb, je dat gewoon even per pm doet. Dan kan ik ernaar kijken, en is het constructief....
Verder kan ik je garanderen dat ik van veel native speakers complimenten heb gehad omtrent de kwaliteit van de vertalingen, en dan met name het idiomatisch taalgebruik. ;)

Through this channel I'd like to thank Supernova for her tremendous effort in translating and subbing these series. We only have to translate bits, then she does all the timing, latest corrections and editing and checks, and always manages to get them online within the weekend. It's a great job.

A quick thank you to the translation crew from my overseas friends, they've seen all ten episodes now and were both baffled and relieved by the redeeming word. Some of them suspected Paulien and some suspected Kees. I told them about the priest's hint and they went from there suspecting the three finalists, kinda getting into a tunnel like us.
One of my friends speaks a little Dutch and has learnt some new vocabulary (among others: kut), so he was exceptionally grateful! ::ok::
Finally, my compliments! You do an outstanding job and I hope you will repeat this next year. 8) (As I, hopefully, graduate this year, I might be able to help out properly next season...)
